Tyler Riverstone
Tyler Riverstone is a student and the only child of a widowed mother. By day, he keeps himself busy with homework, staying awake in class, and occasional writing. By night, he becomes something quite different, but not in the way you might be thinking.
Tyler is a “watcher”, one who defends the waking world from the “haze”, however it may manifest. This requires him to make journeys through the night seeking out and destroying (“dissolving”) the haze when such a duty calls.
As skilled a watcher as he is, this makes a number of his school nights rather restless…
Wicker Snatch
Wicker Snatch is a sprite and Tyler’s guiding hand in facing the haze. By entering his brain through his ear canal, Wicker Snatch attunes Tyler’s senses to be more perceptive of the haze. She also augments Tyler’s physical capabilities, enhancing his strength, speed, agility, and endurance. Should Tyler be injured, Wicker Snatch is able to expedite his healing, though it takes her away from his brain and makes Tyler more susceptible to the haze.
